Overclockers Competition to Take Place Overseas

Gigabyte, one of the world's fastest-growing manufacturers of graphics cards and motherboards has recently announced an upcoming competition for computer tweaking experts worldwide to participate in.
Appropriately enough the competition, called the Gigabyte Open Overclocking Championship, will be to see who can overclock their PCs and Gigabyte equipment most efficiently and the event will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, where the company's headquarters are located.
"Gigabyte is a proud supporter of the overclocking community and we look forward to hosting the GO OC which will bring together overclockers from around the world," commented Johnson Lin, CEO of Gigabyte United, Inc.
Computer experts from around the world are being invited to the final showdown in Taiwan through a series of regional competitions and draws, and some contestants have already been selected from countries such as the United States, Sweden, Singapore, China and Japan.
"Hopefully they will all have a good time here in Taiwan and we look forward to seeing them smash several world records," Lin said.
Other companies sponsoring the event included Intel, ATI, Corsair, Western Digital and ViewSonic.
