Olympus Cameras Evolve

Trying to out-perform their competitors with the release of a new breed of digital cameras, Olympus is taking a leap forward in digital photography with the release of the Stylus 1050 SW and the new SP565 UZ this coming fall.
Whether it falls from a five-foot fence, floats to the bottom of a swimming pool floor or accidentally gets frozen in the snow, the new semi-rugged 1050 SW camera can withstand all of these harsh circumstances. Three metres deep in --10 C water, this camera will still take quality shots.
The 1050 SW gives the user a 10.1 megapixel resolution with a “tap control” interface that lets you turn on the flash along with other settings just by tapping the top, sides, and back of the camera. The Stylus 1050 also offers a 3x optical zoom and is expected to be for sale in October for a price at $300.
If you’re more into distance and landscape scenery shots, Olympus’ SP 565 UZ offers a 20x optical zoom with a 10 megapixel resolution and a 2.5’’ LCD display. The SP 565 UZ also offers the photographer 33 shooting modes along with a wide range of manual controls in order to create that perfect shot.
The SP 565 UZ should also be available sometime in October for a retail price of ~$400.For more information on the Olympus Stylus 1050 SW and the Olympus SP 565 UZ, check out http://www.olympusamerica.com/.
