Audio Technica has USB turntable for Windows and Mac

Audio Technical calls it the AT-LP2D-USB LP-to-digital recording system. What it means to music lovers is a plug-and-play way to make digital files from an old collection of vinyl albums.

The product includes a turntable that plugs directly into the USB port of a PC or Mac, along with audio software for both platforms. The turntable operates at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM, allowing you to play 12-inch albums and 7-inch singles. A-T calls the stereo cartridge the Dual Magnet, which has replaceable stylus. The platter is cast aluminum and the pickup arm includes a damping control. Built into the unit is switchable phono preamp, along with RCA output cables and adapter cables for audio equipment that that does not have a dedicated phono input.

PC user get Cakewalk PYRO (for PC) and Audacity is also included that works with both Macs and PCs. Audacity converts the albums to MP3, WAV or Windows Media format. PYRO includes some restoration utilities such as a declicker that removes pops and clicks and a denoiser utilities reduces generalized noise and hiss.
