Telus Puts its Jewels on the Table with the HTC Touch Diamond

Proudly claiming that they have a larger selection of smartphones than their competitors, Telus mobility announced the release today of yet another of the handsets, the latest being the HTC Touch Diamond.
The Diamond will be released on Aug. 14, and will come with a broad range of features, including a 2.8’’ hi-res VGA screen, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth capabilities, 4GB of internal memory as well as Windows Mobile and Office Mobile functionality.
The announce date was released today as Telus kicks off their Smartphones for All campaign, touting the importance of accessibility and personal comfort in a smartphone, as well as the fact that Telus currently has more varieties available for their clients on a network that is larger than any other in Canada.
“Each Telus client has specific communications needs and by offering a comprehensive selection of smartphones, we believe that they will find the communication tool that best suits their individual lifestyle,” said Tammy Scott, Telus’ vice president of marketing communications. “What better way to demonstrate our commitment to our TELUS clients than starting our new campaign by introducing the new attractive, fun and affordable HTC Touch Diamond.”
The people of Telus are clearly confident with the diverse capabilities of the Diamond, with its three-dimensional touch screen interface – called TouchFlo 3D – which combined with the Opera browser is said to make smartphone surfing easier than ever before.
"HTC is thrilled to debut the HTC Touch Diamond for the first time in North America with Telus,” said Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America. “This brings a new dimension to touch-screen smartphones where style and innovation are front and center and customers can easily stay connected to what matters most.”
With Telus’ high-speed EVDO Rev A network, subscribers are said to have a web browsing experience that no other smartphone can provide, and with the Diamond’s built-in media player and 3.2 megapixel camera they should get all the features that they want with this handset.
Look for it in about a week’s time for $449.99 retail or $149.99 with a 3-year contract. For more details, go to http://www.telus.com/.
