Kodak Reveals New Lineup of Products Due Out Later This Year

Earlier today Kodak Canada Inc. announced what will be there new line of digital cameras and accessories, due out later this year.
These products varied from the latest additions to their M-series and Z-series camera line, as well as brand new wireless digital picture frames.
Let’s take a look at the new lineup:
The newest model for the M series is the Kodak Easyshare M1093 IS, an affordable and stylish digital camera that sports a 3x optical zoom lens and 10.2 megapixel photos.
Other features also on the M1093 IS include face detection technology and Smart Capture which can automatically identify the nature of a scene and adjust the camera settings accordingly for optimal capture.
"Underneath its sleek exterior, the Kodak Easyshare M1093 IS Digital Camera is a powerhouse built to capture beautiful pictures," said John Blake, general manager of digital capture and devices, and vice president of the Eastman Kodak Company. "The Smart Capture feature… lets consumers capture moments that would have otherwise been missed, thanks to its intuitive and automatic scene detection and setting control."
Available in September, the M1093 IS will retail at $199.95.
Kodak’s Z1015 IS looks to be more of a camera for the serious photographer, although its advanced features and high-quality lens are reflected in its price.
The Z1015 IS features a Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens with an astonishing 15x (!) zoom capability. And that’s all authentic optical zoom without digital magnification.
With less than 0.22 seconds click-to-capture speed, that means that with a steady hand (or the built-in image stabilization) a distant hawk or grazing critter can be photographed without any great delay or set up times.
"The versatile lens, combined with our exclusive Smart Capture feature (featured on the Z1015 IS as well), lets consumers capture great pictures as they move from daytime to night and from close-ups to landscapes - the camera does all the thinking for them," said Blake of this camera.
Also due out in September, the 10 megapixel Z1015 IS will come with an MSRP of $349.95.
Both cameras also feature the ability to take HD pictures and movies and put them on HDTV with an optional dock.
And for those photographers who want a permanent fixture to display their works, Kodak is also releasing a series of wireless digital frames that sport a number of bonus features as well.
The frames, which will come in 8- and 10-inch versions, have Wi-Fi ability so that they can wirelessly connect to a computer, and also popular photo-sharing site Flickr, as well as FrameChannel and Kodak Gallery.
"Kodak's relationships with pioneers in photo- and content-sharing make it easier than ever for consumers to share pictures with friends and family," Blake said.
The frames – featuring two additional memory slots and 512 MB of internal memory – will be released in August starting at $229.95.
