Sony's Rolly Rolls into Canada

Sony of Canada Ltd. is introducing “Rolly the Sound Entertainment Player.”
A palm-sized, egg-shaped device that rolls and spins like it's dancing to the music, Sony is touting the device as another innovation, in not only portable audio technology and innovation, but also in artificial intelligence.
Sounds a bit like “Big Mouth Billy Bass” – remember him?
"Rolly has the ability to attract your attention as soon as you turn it on," said Junior Ali, Senior Director of Marketing, Portable Audio, at Sony of Canada Ltd. "It's a tremendous example of what can happen when entertainment and technology merge."
Rolly features 180-degree, horizontally opposed stereo speakers and is designed to move its small arms, shoulders and wheels-six moving parts-to the beat of the music and let’s not forget Rolly’s 700 colour repertoire, bringing a light show to the mix.
What do Sprach Zarathustra, Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend and Earth Wind and Fire's "Boogie Wonderland have in common?
Yes, you guessed it; the Rolly device comes with choreography for these three songs.
The player also contains Bluetooth technology for wirelessly streaming music from a compatible PC or mobile phone, a 2GB flash memory and retails for about $400.
You kind of need to see it in action to get it. Check out www.sonystyle.ca/rolly.
